Clothes Rack / July 16, 2018 / Karoliina Mieto
Department stores use them discount chain stores use them and second hand venues use them. It is the perfect way to display clothing so that consumers can easily rifle through them and make their purchases. In retail outlets you will see a couple of different styles of these items. There are straight types that usually have a single metal bar that are supported by two edge bases. The hangers that hold the clothing simply hook on to the metal bar and sit side by side. These are the least complex systems. There are systems that are curved and the bar is graduated upwards this makes for a much cleaner display system. The same single bar system is in place but the bar is curved and may have dividers that are a few inches tall that will divide the hanging clothing.
After drying you can just remove the clothes from the pegs and be on your way. Drying racks are made up of different materials like stainless steel wrought iron plastic etc. However a metal drying rack can create problems sometimes. You will have to make sure that it is specially coated to prevent it from staining your clothes. Plastic is a pretty good choice but a metal one will be stronger for drying heavier clothes like jeans. You can get a laundry clothes rack in wall mounted and floor standing forms too. If you have a balcony in your apartment fixing a wall mounted rack there will help you to dry your clothes faster from all the exposure to the sun. A wooden laundry rack can also be used to efficiently dry clothes.
The washing machine manufacturers called them Tub watchers. Because they loved to handle the clothes to make sure they were properly washed! When my Mum gave in and we bought her an automatic she would sit and watch it go round for ages. When the tumble dryer arrived we didnt realise how it baked our clothes and removed fibres And the bills my goodness how electricity costs pile up. Well frankly I could kick myself with all these years of excess. The clothes airer is such a natural way of drying. It fits beautifully with my day and takes only minutes to fill. Then I simply get on with the rest of my tasks. The strange thing is it gives me more time to do other things. It simply means there is a long gap between hanging laundry and taking it off the rack. Instead of a day filled with washing and drying it becomes an overnight wash followed by a day of drying.
