Clothes Rack / July 27, 2018 / Magnolia Houle.
I often ask myself while using my clothes airer. Why should life be so simple? After years of looking for gadgets and appliances which impressed with their technical advance. Here I am drying laundry on a clothes rack! Not only that I have taught my children that this is tidier and more economical. Even my eldest now at university has asked for a wall-mounted airer. Her flat is so tiny with limited drying space. Instead of running up large laundry bills she knew what would be easy practical and economical. It really came home to me when I checked the energy usage of my tumble dryer. Like many I thought the arrival of the electric tumble dryer was a miracle. Like my mother before me who loved the twin tub washing machine. When the automatic came out she had such difficulty switching. The washing machine manufacturers called them Tub watchers.
Gradually man became civilized. They learned to produce cotton. And then they learned the art of weaving. Days progress and man has learned to produce silk. And with the progress of science come the artificial linens and synthetics. All of these are used to make clothes. People wear clothes not only to cover them but the clothes have become the fashion statement. In modern civilization peoples are judged by their clothes. More expensive clothes one wears more he or she gets the respect. The branded clothes are in high fashion. Many famous brands have launched their brand of clothes for the young as well as for the others. They have kept on their mind the style of the day.
That being the case retailers need to put more thought into how clothing is displayed and what the collective projected personality of the store is as a result. Store owners should consider mixing a variety of racks into their store design but cautions against having too much variation in materials or appearance. In other words a square rack used for displaying shirts could work fine near a circular necktie rack. However they should carry the same appearance as far as color and materials are concerned. It is also important to think about your clothing racks beyond aesthetics. Consider the space you have to work with and mix and match racks that will allow you to do the most good within that space.
They are typically less durable for the home than they are for retail outlets because the expectation is that they will be holding less clothes and will be used less. A clothes rack for the home are easy to install and are usually sold with all the necessary mounting hardware. There are some models that are free standing and have wheels for easy transport from place to place in the room. A clothes rack is one of those items that no one really gives any thought to but they are also one of those items that it is hard to picture being without. How many times have you found that after youve washed your clothes that you have run out of space to hang them up to dry? Almost everyone has come across this problem and if youre cramped for spec its even worse.
